Many people think humans are the biggest problem we have when it comes to destroying habitats. We’re going to be analysisng some evidence today about visitors to Guam who might have caused the extinction of a snake species. Do you think it’s humanity’s fault? Complete P79 from Science A to persuade me of your opinion.

Is humanity responsible for the destruction of complex ecosystems?
Is It Humanity’s Fault?
In this essay I’m going to be talking about is it humanity’s fault why the tree snake is in Guam.
Firstly, I do think it is humanity’s fault why the tree snakes are in Guam because when all of the soldiers came in to Guam the snakes followed and some soldiers brought them in but in a way it is not their fault because they did not know that they was bringing them in.
Also the reason why they are growing massively in Guam is because they are being fed very well but the big downfall about it is that they are making certain species extinct.
But the people that want to help get rid of the tree snakes are trying out many things such as dropping dead mice with poison inside their bodies so the snakes can eat them and die out eventually. But on the other hand the question is are they going to eat them?
Scientists will are trying to find out if the poison is going to work, but the only way they will find out is once they put it to the test and try it out.
And in my opinion I think it would be a much better idea to put the transmitters inside the mice so they will know if they have moved or not so they can get a percentage if the snakes are falling for the trick.

Whilst this comment is frankly absolutely hilarious (honestly) if you lot start a “yes [insert name here]” conversation I’m going to very displeased! Sanctions at the ready!

Think that it is bad that the humans the snakes but it is not therefore because they didn’t really know that they had to snakes.
It think that it would be bad to kill all of the snakes because what if you where one of the snakes I bet that you wouldn’t like to be killed by a human they.
On Guam the island was used for the army between the Second World War and after that when they were bring the supplies to the island they didn’t know that when they were bringing the bits to the island that there was a couple of brown tree snakes in the boxes. When they got on to the island they were killing around 10 species of native birds from 12 species of the bird. The snakes could get as long as 3 meters but the snakes were 1 to 2 meters long at their normal size. The brown tree snake preys upon birds, lizards, bats, rats, and small rodents in its native range. It preys on birds and shrews in Guam. In the 1940 to the 1950 the army were dropping dead mouse on to the island and in the mouse they had acetaminophen paracetamol. It commonly used as a pain reliever and fever reducer in humans, but it is 100% lethal to all brown tree snakes, explains Dan Vice of the US Department of Agriculture. If they would to eat the bird they would die straight away after eating it. Now the locals are fighting back. And they are unleashing some unusual weapons in their war against the snake if the snake did not stop eating the birds and there was no more food on the island the snakes would be the only thing on the island and if there is no food the snakes will just try and eat each other but then the snake could just on in to the city and the snakes will try and get in to the people’s homes and then the they may try and eat the people that live there.
