Hi Year 8!
I’m revising with Year 11 this lesson. They have a Biology exam in the morning. Not to worry though- we’ll be plodding on with our unit ont he Use and Abuse of Drugs. Today there are two objectives. First you must learn how drugs work then you will learn how prescription drugs can be just as dangerous as illegal ones. Your tasks:
- Read the article titled: Drugs and the Brain
- State what the three parts of the brain do (Page 1)
- Summarise Page 3
- Read the article titled: Prescription Drugs
- Complete all 6 questions on Page 2 of that article.
You may work in your exercise book, on paper, or on your student journal.
You should work independently this lesson.
